SonicWall Major Database Platform Upgrade for MySonicWall Applications

Dear Customer,

This is a notification to inform you that SonicWall™ is planning a major database platform upgrade for its MySonicWall applications to support new features, functions, reliability, scalability and availability. During the planned upgrade, a select group of SonicWall services will be unavailable in order to accomplish service and system upgrades.


Start: Friday, February 8, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PST, (0100 Saturday, February 9, 2013 UTC)
End: Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 p.m. PST, (0700 Saturday, February 9, 2013 UTC)

Affected Services

During the upgrade period, the following SonicWall web-based services will not be available:

  • MySonicWall.com
  • Partner logins from MySonicWall.com
  • License Manager based firewall registrations
  • Service activations and renewals
  • New registrations and renewals/upgrades for Hosted Email Security
  • Login and administrative options such as “Change Password”
  • Online support case creation/management
  • Email support requests

Other web-based services including Content Filtering Service, signature services for Gateway Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Intrusion Prevention Service and Application Firewall, CDP portal services, Email Security services and Hosted Email Security will remain available during the upgrade. Self-service support and phone support will also remain available.
